Hi all

I am very new to wood work and with space issues, I am very short of tools. I have this wooden project in mind and need ideas on how can I achieve it.

I want to make a small hut kind or 1 room house kind structure..
Wooden plaque at bottom( as floor of hut) and same as ceiling. Then in between wooden sticks (cut dowels) as 4 pillars. Popsicle sticks to make 3 side walls. Small 4 wooden balls below bottom plaque.
Now also on roof, I want to make triangle kind structure but do not know how to do.

My questions.
Is everything looking feasible before I start buying stuff?
1. To stick sticks to floor and ceiling, will glue work. Similar for rest of project.

I can bring up picture net time, to give better idea on what I want to make.
2. How to make tiny triangle structure on roof.

Start saving your cardboard. The kind that is on the back of notepads, or underneath the yogurts when you buy a whole package of them. You don't want cardboard box cardboard, since it is too thick. You want the thinner, almost tagboard, kind. But it is sturdier than tagboard.

Use the cardboard to make your house. Hold it together with masking tape. This will give you a nice finished edge on the inside, but more important it gives you a sturdy base to fasten your wood to.

I made a treasure chest and a "barge" using this method. I used craft sticks (popsicle sticks) and wood glue to glue the sticks onto the cardboard base. Then I painted them to get the look I wanted.

So you can see what I'm talking about, here are pictures I took when I was making the barge.

The start of the cardboard base. Yes, there is cardboard supports inside as well since I wanted it sturdy.
