Hello!

I hope this is the right place to put this.

I like to do small wood projects when i get a chance.

I decided I wanted to make a silverware organizer for my mother. But I went to home depot, Walmart and Hobby Lobby and I cannot find anywhere that carries wood strips that would be suitable. I don't have a table saw yet (it's coming soon) so i have to find them already cut.

i would like to find some that are 1/2" to 3.8" thick, and 2 inches high. But like I said I'm having trouble finding any place that carries that kind of thing.

Anyone got an idea where I might find that?

FYI I should expand on this.

I visited Home Depot, and they had 'hobby boards' made from Alder which is fine. But they were either 1.5" wide (too narrow) or 2.5" wide (too wide). I need 2.0 inches.

I asked at home depot and he said they couldn't cut them down

You might be able to find furring strips that are the size you want.
