Hello, my name is Kristin. I just craft for fun and to make gifts for friends and family. I've taken to knitting, photography, card making, coloring, and most recently cross stitch and embroidery. I frequently craft by myself so I am excited to have found a group of like-minded people.

I have a hard time sitting still for too long, so I've found crafting to be a wonderful and creative outlet in the evenings, when it's too dark to go out and spend time with my horse and my significant other is just watching TV or catching up on the forums he follows on his tablet.

I started doing needle work after being re-introduced to it by a co-worker last September, and have been on a roll ever since. Projects to date have included a bookmark, owl Christmas ornaments, a new framed baby announcement for my cousin's new bundle of joy, and a scene from my boyfriend's favorite TV show.

Most recently I bought some tools to give paper embroidery a proper try, combining my love of both needle work and card making. Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you and seeing your lovely projects moving forward.

I also really enjoy baking but recently discovered that I need to be on a ketogenic diet (low carb / high fat) for migraines so I've been experimenting with converting some of my favorite recipes accordingly.
