Hello! I am looking for battery operated string lights with removable bulb caps to use in big marquee letters (over 4 feet high) I am making. Of the thousands of light string types out there I can't find just the right ones. I'm basically finding one or the other- glued on bulbs that are battery powered, OR covers that thread on and off but that are plugged in. After literally weeks of looking I found this product Alibaba, which would be perfect EXCEPT I don't need 500 units for a total cost of $10,000! (I had the supplier do a quote) They don't list the brand and I can't find it anywhere except on that one site. Anyone who can help, I would really appreciate it!

Thanks in advance

I googled battery power party lights and came up with a bunch - here are two of them.

Hi gremlin, thanks for trying to help. The problem with those and almost all the lights being sold is what I was saying about how the bulb part has to come off. I have to put the light through the wood of the back of the marquee letter then screw or cap the cover from the front. Unfortunately the ones on Amazon and Walmart are all superglued on.

Do you have a picture of what you are trying to do? It might help with figuring out what would work for you.

You could use individual LED seed lights. They generally come in 3mm and 5mm sizes. They come with wires and diodes attached, so all you have to do is connect them to a 9 to 12volt DC power source either battery or adaptor. They are readily available on ebay and cheap. just link them up positive to positive and negative to negative. you can hold them in place when you push them through the holes by using a little spot of hot-glue.
They draw very little power.
