Cutting out diapers
I've finally gotten back into the sewing studio. I hate to admit it but, with 4 kids under the age of 5 I do not have as much time as I would like to spend in here. I hope to make my hobby my vocation one of these days, but I'm not sure if this is going to be that moment. For now, I'm focusing on trying to stock my Etsy shop and keep providing interesting and helpful bits on my website. And one of those tidbits is on the way! I'm currently working on a new diaper tutorial for a new all-in-one diaper. I've been busy making 20 of these diapers in a size small for Wyatt, poor boy has no butt and no legs so the smalls will fit him for quite a while!

and more cutting
The diapers I'm working on right now consist of a PUL outer, an alova or diapermaker jersey inner, and a soaker made of 1 layer bamboo and 2 layers of zorb. I've been using 2 of these diapers on Wyatt for the past month and find that they are incredibly thin, wash and dry quickly, and are very absorbent!

All-In-One
Wyatt has been exclusively cloth for a month now! It is great to not have to worry about having to pick up diapers at the store, or drag them out with the trash!
Now back to sewing. . . so much more to do on those 20 diapers!

Wow, these diaper look very light. I have been using this style of diapers for my dog while she is in "heat".I am not familiar with bamboo nor zorba. I will have to try them.Posted 01-18-2010 at 05:36 AM by gunnymom
