Hi. I worked at an adult foster care home in the early 90's. One of the things we did with our clients is put shaving gel in a gallon-size Zip-loc bag, zipped it shut and also taped it shut with wide packing tape.

Some of them liked holding it in their hands and for some of them we taped the bag to the table and helped them squish it around in the bag. They can 'draw' on the bag with their fingers.

I believe you use either 1/4 cup or 1/2 cup of gel. Not sure. You can experiment with it.

You can also put small objects in the bag, but nothing sharp of course. (buttons, marbles, coins, etc.)

It may help to let us know what your students are capable of doing so people can suggest appropriate ideas.

I would get a lot of crayons and let them color.
Here is a link to a list of free coloring pages you can print for them. Its mostly for kids but Im sure they will love it too. Just click on the free coloring page link in the list on your right.
