Default Can I brag a little?

Our local County Fair came around, and since I never entered anything there before, I decided to give it a try.

I entered nine items in crafts and two items in horticulture.

In crafts I received two third place ribbons, one for a fan made from an old calendar and one for a CD basket in rainbow colors.

I also received three second place ribbons, one for a record notebook like what I posted here, one for a woodburned Celtic dragon plaque, and one for a floppy disc rainbow frame, sort of like the one I posted for the Patriotic challenge.

And I received two first place ribbons, one for a large woodburned panel of Scotch thistle and one for a crocheted rag rug.

But for my horticulture, I entered my garlic and my onions. I took first place for my garlic and first place for my common yellow onions. I also had an extra sticker on my onions that said special award. It turns out that I took Best of Show for my onions. That means that out of all of the vegetables that were entered they liked my onions the best.

Here's my garlic and my onions:

They even displayed them in a basket that I had made. And that paper plate is a standard size picnic plate.

Along with all those ribbons, you get a big thumbs-up! That's so neat that you did so well! I bet you were pretty excited.

Thanks for letting us know and the pictures are great.

Thanks. I was pretty excited, since I've never entered before.

We roasted some of that garlic last night for dinner. It really is good. I also dried some of it and made garlic powder for my garlic breads.

Awesome!!!!!! Congratulations!
How are you going to top this next year? Is a CD basket made out of CDs or made for holding CDs?

The basket is actually made out of CD's. It looks like this one, only this isn't it.

Here is also a picture of the frame. I already gave it away.

Congratulations on all of your ribbons. That's fantastic. Next year, you should enter again. Try to top this years ribbon intake.
