Thumbs down John Cummuta

Does anyone else get two emails from this guy twice a day?

"Pay your house off in 5-7 years!"

When he offers to pay my house off with his own money in 5-7 years, I'll open the emails.

In the mean time, how do you get someone to stop sending emails like that? I don't want to open one to 'unsubscribe', if that's even possible.

Barb

Barb, I've never trusted "unsubscribing" to anything. I'm always afraid that the link will open another virus or sign me up for something else. I have changed the security settings of my email to state that anything from "enter address here" shall be filed directly to the deleted items. I increased the rule for other annoying emails as well. Any incoming email containing the phrase "x" or the word "x" shall be sent directly to deleted item. I think that you get the idea. Personally, I would not unsubscribe, I would just reroute him to the circular file cabinet.

You should check your email settings, you might be able to block that sender.
I wouldn't open it to "unsubscribe" either. I've heard that doing that just shows the spammer that they have found an active email address. On top of the potential for viruses that Ken mentioned.

Thanks you guys. I'll check to see if I can block obnoxious emails like that.

I wonder what he tells people to make them believe him.

I've heard parts of his commercials on the radio. Listening to his wife's voice is slightly more annoying than getting his emails. I can't get to the radio fast enough to change the channel.

Do you guys hear it in Canada?

Barb

It is not very often I get emails like that...I have my junk mail filter on and most of time those kind of emails don't make it to inbox. I do have what I call decoy email account for when ever I am surfing web and they ask me for email address just to see something. So all junk unwanted emails go there.:P

I've never heard the name before. The radio station I listen to (on the rare occasion) doesn't play his commercials. I guess you're the lucky one, go buy a lottery ticket!

A decoy address is an excellent idea. Just be sure to check it once in a while if it is something like hotmail or they will close it on you for lack of use and it won't be a valid address anymore. I use my hotmail as my "anonymous" address for things like newsletters etc. They filter well. Family has my "real" address.
