Default Wool question?

Does anyone know what the best wool to use for longies or knit pants? I have knitted pants but after about a month they started to shed or ball up, I'm not sure if it's the wool or if it's just normal for wool pants to shed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

You do get some pilling with any wool that you use. Just get a sweater shaver.

I use BFL--Blue Faced Leicester Aran to knit and crochet longies and soakers. It's amazing stuff. I don't seem to have as much pilling.

If you are into dying your own-- yarn2dye4.com has really great prices.

My fav wool yarn is cestari superfine merino. It wears well and it doesn't really get pilly.
