To set up an etsy store without a credit card and with only a paypal account because I don't have a credit card.

You can't unfortunately. Had the same problem and got a credit card just for that purpose. Basically, it's to make sure you're a real person and "reliable". They charge like $1.01 to it just for the purposes of knowing you're a real person and then you can pay everything else with your PayPal. Annoying but it's the way things go. There is Shanalogic as an alternative (not sure how that works though) and Folksy for the UK, but again, don't know how that works.

If i remember right you don't need credit card to set up etsy store....When you joined etsy just type in that you accept paypal for payment. But you will need set up your PayPal account. PayPal will required to link to your bank account, and for that i just used my debit card a sum was charged to my checking account and then I re-entered the sum in paypal , and that made my account active .

I have a paypal account already, bummer that I can't use paypal to set it up though because etsy seems so simple!

I dont have a credit card set up on all my shops. (some do, some dont) but I do have paypal. U can pay for your etsy fees with PP so I just use PP whichI have set up with my bank account and a credti card as backup if I dont have money IN the PP account. So long story short I dont think u NEED a credit card on either ur PP or Etsy account.

I don't have a credit card on my PP but it says you need a credit card to start a store on there, I don't have one so I'm trying to figure out a way around it

.Hmmm turns out it looks like you are right! I secured www.badgereels.etsy.com today for my buttload of badge reels that I made, and it wont let me set up shop without a credit card. Hmm. Perhaps you can get the Paypal Credit card? Have you been offerred that yet? That might be a way around it?
