I used my debit card that has Visa logo in corner...so card can be used as credit card or debit card.

If you're a bit shy to get a credit card, or if you have bad credit - or really any other reason under the sun as to why you don't have one - you know those money stores? Umm...Cash Store, Western Union, things like that - you can get a Visa/Mastercard (depending on the store) debit card. So you put money on it yourself and that's literally all you can do with it, there's no actual "credit" on it, so you're not going to financially ruin yourself (unless you decide to buy everything there is to buy on Etsy )

Just my two cents

Something else you might want to consider is also selling your stuff at Bonanzle. It is a online store builder that is free to join and they only charge a small amount when you sell something. I sell my bow ties there for $12.99 each and they charge $1.00 for each one that sells. I checked into Etsy but it seemed a bit pricey. You can have both which will give you more opportunity to sell. I notice when I do a key word search in Google, that my Bonanzle items show up in the some of the first listings.

I have been also selling on eBay for awhile but it is getting so expensive I have been trying to find more places that don't cost as much. The only thing is that eBay still has the best traffic.

I hope this is of some help.

Best wishes,
Monica

Hello again,

I was just trying to see what you sell but I didn't see a link in your post. Do you have any pictures you can show us?

I noticed your are a stay-at-home mom, me too! Although both our children are adults, but I am still their mom.

Look forward to seeing your stuff.

Monica

My wife set up a Paypal account with an old seldom used bank account that I had from a business we had closed. The account was free and in fact paid interest. One day I got a notice that it was overdrawn. I went to the bank and although we had never used the Paypal account, Paypal had cleaned out the bank account and overdrawn it. The bank dropped the overdraft fee and I closed the account. I contacted Paypal but they would never respond. There wasn't enough money lost to fight it, but I would never have another Paypal account. Since then I have talked to some others with the same experience.

I just set up a bonazale account. Seems like a great place, we'll see! In September I'm planning on setting up Etsy. I'd like to see which does better, although I know some people do both? Bonanzle is very easy to navigate and set up.
I've never had any issues with paypal to date. We'll see though I guess. But, for etsy and bonanzle you need a CC in order to activate your both/shop
