How many WAHM and are you making enough $$
I have heard too many say they make just enough to cover their habit. And that is fine if that is all you need. I need more. How many of you can say that they are really able to help support the family income. I need to to feel that I can do this too. Thanks!!

I know that I make just enough to cover the habit and what I've been noticing is that in order to go beyond that, you need to be able to invest in good effective advertising and need a well made and somehow unique product.

imake enough to support my habit, and contribute a very small bit to bills. mainly i can contribute $100 a month or so. which is nothing near what we need. im on 3 congos, which gets my name out. i also frequent the right forums and made friends with alot of other wahms and shoppers, which helps with word of mouth. but i have to admint, to get to where i am or need to be, requires constant constant computer time. im pretty much online all day, and get my crafting done at night. its not easy

I think it all kind of depends on what are you selling. We have a full time business that pays all of our bills, but it took a pretty big investment (around $7,000) and it's over 40 hours/wk time investment.

I don't make a lot but i was able to restock and expand my supplies, pay some bills that would have gone unpaid, and afford to give my family the best christmas to date. Every little bit helps. I find myself channeling my creativeness into my business instead of personal crafting, i think that helps save too.

my business just kind of happened. I wasn't really looking to make money at first, it was just a hobby. but now, 98% of what I do is custom orders for YYMN. I stay busy enough but I don't think I would want to get any bigger than the business is now. I Just don't have the time for it. I don't use any of the money for bills or anything though, i just like to have a Paypal account full of money so that I can buy the things I want when I want so that I don't have to try to explain to DH why i am buying a $300 cricut machine or something. lol its my money to support my hobbies.
but i agree with the other mama's....It does take a lot of computer time and interacting with your customers and advertizing in the right spots. but if you have the time for all that then it may be worth it to you.

I make enough to cover my expenses and help with the bills. I could not support my family with it but I make more than I did when I ran home daycare and I have much more flexibility and am happy.

if i stopped buying so many supplies I"d prob have a hell of a lot more to contribute! But at this point hubs just wants me to not usehouse money for the shops so as long as I have enough paypal to cover my fees and supplies, he's happy.
