Default Headbands

My friend and I were at the mall today and saw some cute headbands, but they were almost 20 dollars which I think is expensive for a simple headband with a flower on it. So, I came up with the idea that I could make my own headbands! I know there are plenty of people who do it, but I thought it could be a fun hobby and maybe even sell them. I was just looking for some tips/advice on how to start and any cute designs/ideas for a headband! If I like to do this I am thinking about doing other things such as jewelry, key chains, etc. Thanks so much!

There are a couple members here who make some adorable headbands for little girls. If you look through the albums you may be able to find them.

Good luck. I think you'll enjoy making them.

I actually tried making a headband the other day, it was just an experiment and didn't turn out the way I'd hope but oh well!

I once did my own headbands. I cut 2-3 inches broad cloth and sew the sides. I just tie them on my nape. I tried in different designs and colors. Pretty cool.

I made my own style headband too.I have the same experience, the headband in the mall or shop are too expensive, and sometimes,I thought it would be nicer if the jewel or flower this way, that way,,
So I start trying .

The important thing to do it is to paste the ribbon well on the stainless or plastic stell headband,I use double face tape and a little glass cement to fix. it is very difficult to paste glass cement with the ribbon, cause it will not make the surface flat very well.
So i just very little.
But I will make a foot sleeve on the end of each side.to do this I use glass cement to paste and then sew it tight.

I would like to share with u more ,,,,and you are welcome to share your method.
Now I am seeking better material to paste the ribbon, any one have better idea?
Thanks

I've made some cloth headbands, but it's been awhile.
