Lightbulb How to Make Beaded Jewelry?

I love to make crafts when it comes to jewelry though I don't know what to do. So I found some great beaded Jewelry designers and we are making a how to make beaded jewelry course. I need your help though we want to make sure to make a course that really helps save time and frustration. I'm wondering what is your biggest question about Beaded Jewelry Making. Just give us your #1 Question and when we get everything done you will receive a free copy. Thanks for the help.

When I first started out a couple years ago the biggest challenge I had in created jewelry was how to crimp the ends of earrings. I have since discovered that making earrings is one of the easiest pieces of jewelry to create. But for a while, I agonized over how to crimp the wires for the earrings.

I still have trouble with crimps. I need to invest in some crimp covers to hide my mangles!

What is the best way to attach a clasp on a thread based piece of jewelry?

What are some tips for making secure knots attaching the clasp, options for covering the knots, etc.?

CRIMPS! Step-by-step with "best practices" advice. Also I've always had trouble with wrapped loops, I had to watch a couple web tutorials before I figured out what I was doing wrong.

I need to get crimp covers too. Do they make different size crimping pliers? The smaller crimps don't seem to work right with the ones I have...

I would saying crimping is the most difficult part of the jewelery process. When I first started out I would get really frustrated trying to get the crimp to do what I wanted it to. After some practice it did get easier ... maybe you could have them practice in class? I would also show them the different TYPES of crimps and how to use them. I've been working at it for a few years now and I will say that practice (and a few magic charms) is the secret.

Oh, BTW I just looked and, sure enough, there are different sizes of crimping pliers. This explains why I mangle the little ones so badly... I'm working with the wrong size tool!

In teaching my Jewelry 101 class, I get questions on what each tool is for and what's the difference between them. Also I get gals who hold up something they bought and say, "How do I use this?" But mostly I spend lots of time demonstrating and correcting.

What format is your course going to take?
