Do you want to make the beads or just the bracelets?

Beads can be made of just about anything. Do you have an idea of what you want to make? Any theme or type of bracelet?

Natural - wood, stone, shells, leather, macrame cord, etc.

bright - plastic or glass beads in bright colors, plastic cord, or metal bangle type bracelets.

pastel - plastic or glass beads in pastel colors

animal - animal print or shaped beads, leather or other cord

flowers - flower shaped beads, etc.

As you can see, there are a lot of options. You are only limited by your imagination (and your funds).

As a beginner, I found working with commercial beads (tons of them here!) and beading wire (Tiger Tail) was the easiest way to learn about designs, etc. Once you master that, making paper beads is a lot of fun, and you can really go wild with them (check here and here)! As someone else mentioned, polymer clay is a great option, as well.

There are several type of bead bracelets are available in the market, Making a bead bracelet is a lot like making a necklace, only on a smaller scale. Follow the below steps to make a bead bracelet.
1 Gather supplies, tools and beads.
2 Make a bead stopper.
3. String all the beads.

As a beginner, first of all you should buy the bracelet design game. It is a game for kids but consist of all the initial items needed to make a bracelet. It has a manual too which will guide you for different designs. Try to copy those designs and then create your own designer bracelets.

Handmade jewellery can give up or costly, it really relies on how you go about it. You can see Auction web sites and sometimes surf to see is they have inexpensive pellets on selling.
