Default Spirograph string art

I don't know if this is the right forum for this, but it's a necklace, so I'm posting here.

It's on the Instructables website. I think this would be easy for kids to do too - once they're past the 'everything goes in their mouth' stage and won't eat the glue and are able to count.

Hey, I saw that a couple of days ago, and I think it would be fun for anyone to do.

I think it would be fun too. I loved using the Spirograph when I was a kid. I wonder if they still make it.

What would you use, maybe trim nails for the loom? Or do the pegs need to come out to remove the design?

I would probably use straight wood dowels, so that they could be removed when the pattern is done. And I think I would prefer using spray starch for a stiffener.

Of course, I would have to experiment with it to see what works.

Oh, great idea. And different thicknesses of dowels would give a different look to each finished piece. Cool!

I really like Keeo's idea of a spirograph ear rings and ornaments.

(I know this is an old thread, but that was what the googlebot was looking at!)

My son just got a Spirograph for Christmas. I can use it as pattern for this.

I remember my sister having a spirograph thing when we were kids, and she would make such pretty designs and I would make a hideous mess of it and get all frustrated and mad! hehe...

We have a couple of spirograph toys and I tried to combine them. I guess they had changed during the interval because they don't work together.

I love spirograph. I made this face for my grandkids, using a pattern I had drawn on the spirograph. I scanned it into the computer, duplicated the pattern for a set of eyes and added talking clouds for hair and other stuff I found. It's ugly, but my grandkids got a big kick out of it.
