Was wondering if anyone had any input on this. I've started making beaded stretch bracelets as a hobby. I started off using Stretch Magic .7mm, but I've been hearing Opelon is better since it is multi fiber and won't lose it's elasticity after a while. I've tried both and do notice Stretch Magic seems tighter/stronger, but making a surgical knot is more difficult as the material is pretty slippery. I do dab glue on it after anyways.
I also tried Opelon and it is a softer, more flexible material, however it does feel a little flimsier. Because of this, it does seem easier to stretch, especially for someone who has a larger hand/wrist and sits a bit lighter without cutting off someones circulation
. Another downside is that this material does fray, espcially at the knot. However, an upside is it is very to create secure knots that won't come apart.
Anyone have any experience or preference as to which is better? Any advice is appreciated as I do want to start giving some bracelets away, and maybe even selling and want to get out the best quality possible! Thanks!
