Default Lily of the Valley

About a year ago, I beaded a lily of the valley and gave it to my Great Aunt and Uncle as a gift. Lily of the valley is my favourite flower and I never got around to making one for myself! I finally finished it. I really liked the way I had "planted" the first one so I looked around and actually managed to find the piece of branch that kenbo had cut for me the first time! He cut the branch for me and drilled a hole for me to plant my flower in. I guess this one was a joint effort.

I just wish that this one smelled like the real ones!

You make a great team! I bet you can find some essential oil with the scent you desire and could put it on the wood or in the hole under the "stems"

Ummmm.... the first step is to string the beads onto some wire, I strun wayyyy more green than I needed for this (now I won't have to string them for the next project!!) so I don't know how long stringing takes, but I'd guess that the leaves probably took about an hour each to create, and the flower stems.... probably about the same...
Kenbo wasn't ready for me when I went to get the wood cut and I was probably in his shop for a good half an hour for a five minute job, but I won't count that....
I'd estimate that it took about four hours. But I don't sit down and work on these solidly. In reality it took months to make it!!!!!

That is so pretty Angela! I like the way it's planted in the wood too.

What a cool idea to use the essential oil.

Don't take this the wrong way, but that picture doesn't do the project justice. It's much prettier in person. Maybe you need a new light box.
