How cute she does look her.

She smells of coffee from her coffee bath to get her (dirty) color.

I really need to figure out how to do the hair easier, my fingers hurt.
Also I need to practice on the neckline of the dress.
Lastly, how to close her up more prettier, it really bugs me how she's closed right now, it's not pretty.

What worked well and was something new was the stitching on the eyes, normally I stitch them before stuffing but I tried it like it was written and stitched after.

I might be able to help with the issue of closing her up. I learned a great stitch years ago. I found a tutorial for it and posted it for someone else... I'll go look for it for you!!!! It is almost invisible when the fabric has a little bit of plushiness to it, it is a great stitch.
Try this:

I hope it helps.

I meant to comment on the eyes. The look good. I cant do that. I used to try to embroider a heart on my sock monkeys. Now I just cheat and sew a heart shaped button on.
I love the smell of coffee. Not the taste, just the smell!

I like this doll. It reminds me of the early Jim Henson days before he really refined his craft. Great job. I'm not so sure that I would change anything however. This one has some serious character.

She's so sweet! Just curious- what makes her a "primitive" doll?

Getting ready to make some more dolls myself- should be working on them now, but here I sit. (want to get some things ready for some Christmas fairs with my friend- we are going to split the cost of a booth or two).

She's a very cute doll!

Great observation Angela. I was going to say she reminds me of Betty Spaghetti. But I'm not sure that's the character I'm thinking of.

Well the pattern is for Daisy Ann Primitive Doll.
IMO I'm guessing its because of the simplicity of her.
She is to be tea or coffee dyed to age/dirty her.
She's to have more simple hair and a different face and some painting.
Also the clothes I believe.

I did change her to how I'd work with things.

Heres a great pic to compare.

These aren't to be toys but decoration, I can't tag this one for a child under 12 to use.
