Default "Roadkill" potholders

Okay. I posting my turtle potholders because I said I would. Not because I am particularily proud of them......
In my ettiquette post, I was worried about "copying" somebody else's idea. I am NO LONGER concerned about this.
This was very much a learning experience for me as I had never tried to create any sort of pattern before. I learned to always take seam allowances into account. *sigh* The turtles looked great on paper, and even when I cut them out. It was when I sewed them together that I realized there was a problem.
But, they could have been much worse. At least they are recognizable as turtles. Even if they do look like turtles that didn't make it all the way across the road......

I am using them.

Yeah, that seam allowance is a kicker. But your turtles are definitely turtle-esque. I think the fabric choice was great! Not bad for your first pattern

I like the choice of fabric too. They look nice.

DangerMouse, the turtles in your post look a little 'tired'. (thanks for the laugh though)

Thanks for the laugh I needed that today!! The turtles look good. I was worried what I was going to see when I seen "Roadkill" in the title.

Hysterical title! How about some cats, deers, or squirrels?? The decor could include plates with a tire design LOL
