Default small intarsia

I wanted to do one of those instant gratification pieces. You know, the ones where you can finish it in a couple of hours. So I had this mini intarsia of a hammerhead shark kicking around so I decided to make it. Although I'm not all together thrilled with the quality of the photographs, you can get the idea of the project. I had fun doing it and that's the main thing I guess.

Love it Kenbo!

I remember loving my industrial arts class in 8th grade. I made a spice rack and an angel fish. My mother still has both.

Very nice! I completely agree with you on doing projects that get done quickly and you can enjoy then and there! It's nice to do those sometimes, gives you a little pick-me-up!

Hey Ken. I'm taking this off topic...sorta. I noticed your ship in the bottle piece and wondered if you have made more than one of them? I know you used your grandfather's base and added that, but I wondered if you have made others.

Also, have you done any ship pieces like your animal ones (tigers, lions, etc.)?

I haven't done any other ship pieces at all that I can think of. I do, however, have a few on the sidelines that are waiting to be done. A couple of intarsia sail boats and a fretwork shelf with boats and ships on it.
Don't worry, I'll post photos whenever they get done.
