Default Stickin it to cafepress for being overpriced and low quality!

..I can make my own and I can make it CUTER! Bout time I make something for my lil man too. He had a (not near as cute) shirt from cafepress with the same phrase that he outgrew. I was kinda sad. I had it taped to the wall behind my monitor through most of pregnancy as a kind of focal point. I found another tee of his that I was going to cut up to make the pattern for this shirt but dh liked the shirt and wouldn't let me cut it. So I figurd out how to make a pattern from it without cutting it! Yay me.

You'd better get to work on the next one because he'll grow out of this in no time!

Very cute. Both the shirt and the model!

Oh so cute!! Our babies were born at home too. I always wanted a shirt like that. Tell me the good and bad of cafe press. My ds keeps talking about it, and I know nothing about it.

oh, cafepress isn't all that bad, its just overpriced a lot of the time and the shirts are cheapish..ya know, typical square shirts with armholes..lol. The designs are durable and don't seem to fade/crack but its not screenprinted or anything fancy like that. I didn't find any designs for baby shirts that were that exciting to me, or they were way too expensive, and most of them were only available on the cheap boxy tees. The organic tees looked like they were nicer (far as i could tell from the pics) but I haven't seen them in person. I find the shirts to be too wide and too short. I bought a medium maternity shirt, which is what I was wearing in every other brand and it came about to my belly button by the end of pregnancy, lol. hardly seemed like a maternity shirt! I wore my tummy tube thing with it.

We bought a canvas totebag from there two Christmases ago. It has been washed several times. It is fading a bit, but it gets used and probably abused daily by my sixteen year old who carries her books to class in it, tosses it on the floor and then stuffs it in her locker for the next day.
I remember it being an insane price (I think it was around $30 Canadian with exchange and shipping) but since she was actually saving her money to buy it herself (when you have no job or allowance, that is not easy!) we figured it would make a good gift. I wouldn't pay that again, but we have definitely gotten our money's worth!
That is my only experience with Cafepress. I've always thought that the shirts were way to expensive when you add shipping and exchange.

very cute! I especially liked the fact you used the patterned fabric for the words as well instead of just a solid color!

Thanks for the Cafe Press advice. I was looking for more of a silk screen T shirt.

Yes, your baby shirt is much better...and much less $$
