Wanted to start my own thread of projects I've actually finished LOL
While I've finished WAY more than the stuff listed here, a lot of my projects I've given as gifts...maybe one day I'll remember to take my camera with me and get pics of those too!

I made this cute ginger bread house a couple of years ago, Micheal's had a whole display of make your own gingerbread house parts from a company out of Dallas

The house was a whole peice, undecorated, made out of a soft plastic

The candy parts, the windows, the roof trim, and all the other neat lil peices were seperate and hand glued on with a glue gun

I however did the hand piped frosting on the roof, and the snow on the ground with crayola brand air dry clay

They had the option of buying a flat peice of wood with a snowscape on it to put the completed house on, but I went with buying the silver bauble basket from the basket center...just flipped it over...put the white clay down, and built it up from there!

I also bought the white little snow flakes as trim around the basket


Bought all the stuff at 75% so I would say maybe $10-15 for the whole project...plus left overs

Blanket made for my OLdest Daughter, colors picked by her

Used Speed Stixx (size 50 knitting needle) I think Lionbrand wool eaze charcoal through out, and then the extreme colors are half price boa like yarn from Hobby Lobby

Knit stitch used on the 2 end parts, and purl stitch in the middle


With coupons, Half price yarn and not including needle project came out to around $30

This is a flower arrangement my Oldest daughter and I worked on together, she was in a floral design class at school and we saw stuff like this at Micheal's and were like "we could do those" LOL so we did....and for a WHOLE lot cheaper, ended up giving it to my mom

I think that one cost around $20

Baby Blanket I made my cousin's daughter Hailye

Made it from 5 different random balls of yarn I picked up at Goodwill, I think it turned out really pretty and the wool was really soft...I think it might have been hand made and dyed because they were these really unique pretty shades

Took the picture on my cell phone to send to show my cousin so that's why the pic is so small, but I did knit stitch with rows of purls to make stripes....have really been experimenting with what I can do with purl and knit stitches LOL

Used my speed stixx again and because I bought the yarn at goodwill it only cost me about $8

Awww thank you! LOL the only problem about buying all the stuff on clearence was that by the time I finished making the house...and a few people saw it and wanted me to make them one too...well they had discountinued the products and there were no materials left to be had!
