Default Choose wall lamps or not?

If you have to redecorate your old house, would you like to install some wall lamp instead of chandelier?

Er..... I would rather take some wall lamp on the corner, then retain the ceiling fixture.

Ceiling fixtures give more light per square foot than wall lamps. If you looking for ambience, wall lamps are great. But if you want to read or see close up work, ceiling fixtures will always be better.

I prefer ceiling lights with dimming functionality.
Wall lamps are nice though, you can create a nice ambiance with them.
