Might as well post'em here! Does anyone like "before and after" pics and shows as much as me? Well, here are some of mine.......

The Kitchen/cabinetry and then the kitchen table and the painted walls. I painted/sprayed the table from country blue to black. Yep, used black! On the cabinets I took them off, sanded and used primer on them. Hard work, but it was worth it. I did this three years ago and I still love my kitchen bright yellow. Or as the husband says....."Romper Room" colors.

Umm..........I guess I didn't take pics of the bright yellow. Anyway here are some of the livingroom that I did two years ago. Every wall in this house was white. I loved it for a while because I was use to dark paneling before this. When we moved in there were things that hit me in the face that I hated.

dark blue carpet
marble linolium flooring in the kitchen
dark kitchen cabinetry that didn't match the flooring
a light blue exterior house paint (yes, it was a baby blue painted house and no, it's not beach front or victorian!)

My husband had the outside painted right away. LOL! I don't think it liked it either. It was the first thing besides building a pole barn for his toy(a Gambler bass boat).

Here are some before and after pics of my bedroom. This last Christmas I painted our bedroom. The color is Uptown Girl. Heh. My pictures don't do the color justice though.

Here are the before:

it's amazing what a little change of color will do to a room! I wish we could paint our walls.

Your rooms look great! We painted our cabinets when we moved into the house- guacamole green! I love them! Too bad it still doesn't make me want to cook! We just finished painting our computer/craft/playroom too. I'll post pics of my rooms once I have curtains up!

Thanks guys!

Why can't you paint your walls UTTD? Are you in an appartment or renting? That's what my daughter hates about renting. You are really tied to white walls.

Yeah, painting the cabinets was a PITA but very worth it! I need to get updated pics of the kitchen and show the blue wall screen that doesn't match a THANG! LOL!

BTW, the wedding dress is part mine and my mother's. I dug it out of my grandmother's trunk/chest and begged one of my aunts to help me redo it. The bodice part is over 53 yrs old! I thought, why keep it in a hope chest when I can enjoy it everyday? It took awhile for the Boss to wake up to a headless wedding dress manny though. Hehehe....he just said recently to my son and daughter, "Yeah, it took a few years not to wake up each morning to a headless bride. But, I finally have grown use to it." LOL!

hahaha! headless bride... my hubby would never go for it.

yup... renting... have been since we first got married so I've really never been able to paint. Kinda a bummer but it makes me look forward to owning our own place even that much more

Yeah, it's a bummer. I remember everytime my daughter moved when she was in college, she couldn't paint the walls. And then you had to chalk the holes in the walls when you left! Such a shame too.

Well, I still have more white walls to color!

two bathrooms
utility room
hallway

By the time I get through, I'll probably be ready to start all over again!

Here are pics of the kitchen with the "gold buff" paint! I've pretty much gone with French Country as a theme through out my house. Except for the master bedroom. Oh! And my mother made the curtains/cafe curtains and seat coushions. I spend alot of time with my mother. Or she helps me alot! Heh.

Oh yeah....remember the marble linolium??? GONE! Now I have tile.
