We decided to paint our kitchen yellow when we moved in. We had to cover a wretched old-fashioned wallpaper with HUGE flowers. We painted a very bold yellow over the flowers to cover them up, then had this very pale yellow to go over the bright yellow. The kitchen is still very bright yellow. (Sigh) I'm hoping that this year we will be able to finish it.

I can't wait to see your finished room. I need inspiration.

I'm hoping. The third coat of primer looks like it did the job. So I should have pictures of the yellow then! I'm SO HAPPY!!! YA YA YA!!

Pinokeeo: I've been tossing around repainting the kitchen. It used to be wallpapered, we took that down and put up a mustardy tan and then sponged over that with light tan. It looks good, and it'll probably wait another year since we only did it last year LOL. I want a bright orange though (eek!! LOL) What color are you thinking of painting it??

We wanted it to be the pale yellow. We had in mind to do lemon yellow with red trim. I think the problem was that we had so many ideas and so many projects that it just got shifted to the back burner. It will be done soon. Most of our other big projects are finished.

I can't wait to see it!

Do you want all of us to come over and help?

Not ALL of us!!!! I hate, HATE, HATE painting! (and my youngest needs her room re-done.... we keep putting it off... partly because we hate painting and partly because she wants colours that we don't fully agree with) I've lived in this house for over seven years and my hallway is still a gross yellow colour.....

I can't wait to see your room!!!!!

Well update since I'm taking a break LOL. Got the last coat of primer on. I also painted a table that we got free black, since its the accent color for the room. The table was one of those kitchen tables that have a colored bottom and the "wood" top. All black now. I think in the future I may decoupage that, but right now I'm not worried about it...
Now..off to get some Sun Shower yellow up! YAY!! I'll have pictures when it's complete
