Default Floral Arrangeing

Any one else here to Floral arrangeing??

This is the time of the year I start Holiday arrangements. I make fall/christmas wreaths, centerpieces, pinecone fire starters, miniture christmas trees, lighted pointsettia basket arrangements, etc.

the wife loves her flowers outside by the garden, and around the big trees out front, but we never seem to pick them to bring inside....hmmm

..but we'd all love to see pics here of your Christmas crafts, i'm sure! Po)

I've done a few for weddings. For example, center pieces. Nothing to complex though. For the wedding I just tried to use the colors that were already being used.

Only do silk and dried arrangements.

This is a Pinecone and Silk Poinsettia Lighted basket. I sell a lot of these at Christmas Craft Shows. I have been making them for about 15 years.
I soak the pincones in fragrance (mostly cinnamon oil) and let them dry for about a week. I advertise them as Fireside Baskets.

That is beautiful Mrs. J. I have no talent for flower arrangeing, trust me I've tried. :/

I managed to muddle my way through making my wedding bouquet, and the maid of honour's bouquet, but I followed a very clear step-by-step book (that I gave away to a friend) I can't even arrange a bouquet of fresh flowers in a vase now!
I envy that talent.

I've never tried my hand at real flowers! Maybe one day I'll give it a go
