hanging clouds?

Hi Jphil, and welcome to the forum. If there is a netting material available that's made out of sturdy fishing line, you could wrap it around bundles of whatever you're using for clouds and suspend it from the ceiling with more fishing line. That stuff is close to invisible.

I really don't know if that would work, but it's probably what I would try first. But you'll probably get better suggestions from other members here.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I wonder if they were Photo shopped into the picture. The shadows don't look like they're all coming from the same light source. Maybe.

well here's my 2 cents....if you look at the ceiling there are 4 things attached to it. i think they might be what all the clouds are attached to and like Barb said they probably use fishing line. if you look close you can see fishing line. i bet if you print this picture out and take it to a decorating type place they might be able to help!!! In that second picture it looks like wads of batting to me as well. Maybe use a styrofoam ball as a base, thread fishing line right through the middle of the ball and then glue batting onto the ball adding to it until you like the look of the cloud. You could tap a small nail with a head into the ceiling and paint it to match so it disappears into the ceiling and tie the line around that.
I know that fishing line through a styrofoam ball works because my daughter made a solar system project and that is how she made and hung her planets (and got an A+! I'm so proud of her!)

That is my thought. I'm sure that others will have different ideas for you as well.

Is there any way that you could contact the photographer and ask?
