What a great thread Carmellyn! And the girls here have given you some wonderful ideas. Your comment about not knowing whether or not you will keep the glassware made me smile. I am always looking for glass items for my decoupage and never throw any any. I also like what Barb suggested for using them as pretty storage containers.
Whatever you decide make sure you organize your things so that they are easy to find, labelled and within easy access and especially your pet food which I think should be stored on lower stoage shelves or even under so that you won't have to carry heavy supplies.
So sorry to hear about your Mom, you did the right thing of course to spend time with her while she was with you. Best wishes and prayers for your daughter's sugery. How lovely that you will soon have a Bundle of Joy in the family

I too am truly sorry to hear of the loss of your mother Carm. I hope everything works out for your daughters also.

I'm going to try what Pinokeeo mentioned but I think I'm going to use my scraps of bright material that I really don't know what to do with! If I get 'R done, I'll share it.

Oh, and don't throw anything away you don't think you can use. I'm finding that I still have plenty of room and I'm through with my organizing except for my closet that will store my desk.

Good luck and don't forget to post pics of the progress Carm! We all LOVE that kinda thing!

Old suitcases as decorative storage. This has been used before in many magazines, but I thought I'd share this one with pics. The old suitcases I purchased around $25. Except for one, it's the Old Blue one that my parents used and my mother gave it to me. It's the medium size one that they bought in the late 50's.

I couldn't find the pics, so here is a pic that I took a few months ago. Third pic in post #4 of this thread:

Downrightart Home Decorating

What follows is what I put in them. They are my prints and note cards that I sell or give to friends or even use as thank you or sympathy cards. They are used for any occassion really.

HA! I knew it. Or did you mention this at the beginning of your thread? How many do you have? I'm wanting more of them!

Gotchya! Where are you located? If you can say. If not, I understand.

I'm gonna have to check out Goodwill again. It's been so many years since I've been in one. When my husband and I were first married, we went a few times. He loved checking out the hunting gear at the time.
