I'll have some Canna bulbs. I have the green and the red. Let me know or remind me and I'll dig some up for you Tdi.

I love Gerber daisies also, but they don't do well for me. I have Jasmine vine, but I keep thinking I'll get some honey suckle but haven't yet.

That all sounds like it will be lovely Tdi! Can't wait to see how it progresses along!

That'd be great. Well I'll plant the honeysuckle, if it takes off I'll be sure to send you some. Not sure how long it would take LOL. I'm going to plant the daises and see. I never buy them to plant since they're annuals, but I was researching a little bit about collecting the dead flower heads and putting them in a dark spot. The seeds become white fluff (like dandilion seeds) Replant, and they do well. I might try it, I don't have anything to loose
I'll post up some pictures this week!

For anyone who is planning to plant honeysuckle or morning glory, bear in mind that these plants are weeds. I know that they are very pretty, but as weeds they tend to be very invasive and will choke anything that is planted next to them.

Having said that, if you want to go ahead and plant them, try trellising.

Thanks for the heads up. I am actually planning on putting it near the spot that we want to expand our patio to. The plan is to put paving stones down and have a larger trellis as the covering. Kinda make it a little hang out area. I think the honeysuckle will be perfect there. But, that's probably going to happen next summer with the patio, so this will give the honeysuckle a chance to grow a bit. It will also be an area where I don't have anything planted as of yet.

Yeah, and just like Westeria. Not that it's a weed, but like a vine. But Westeria can choke and kill a good tree. But, I love it as a canopy.

Thank you Tdi! I'll make a fence just for it! My neighbor told me last night that she has some red maples for us. And she has the moon flower ...kinda like the morning glory. I told her it would do well betwen us where the morning sun hits. She liked that idea so we might both plant a trelis between our properties so we both can enjoy.

Keep us posted on the progress. I love before and after pics!

I'll be taking some pictures today when I work in there this evening. I'm going to start digging up the front and make it into a bed. That should take me a bit by hand. I also need to get the honeysuckle planted, my daises that my momma gave me, the canna bulbs and some ground covering a lady gave me. Also some seeds that I bought of perennials to get in the ground at different spots of the yard. Lots ahead, but I will post pictures!

The pics looks like you have good rich soil there. What kind of ground cover?

The soil does seem pretty rich in there. Now that other plants will enjoy it rather than the bushes! what do you mean by ground cover?? What I'll be putting in the front garden?
