After seeing a documentary on the Discovery Channel about the way bronzed baby shoes are manufatured, i got interested in the ideea and following it further, i saw that the main providers of this service from the US have also the option of preserving the baby shoes in porcelain.

I would like to prepare a nice gift for my sister and her two year old daughter and since sending a pair of shoes all the way to US and back is not an option, i would like to ask anyone that has experience in this field if they can give me some ideea of how this can be made.

Funny you should ask this ???

I was cleaning out, yet another box, and found some of my kids baby shoes. So I did a search on "Bronzing"...now have no done it...but I am going to try.
