I knit too. So addicted I am presently knitting a hat for my son with peacefleace. I knit mostly with natural fibers. Mostly wool. So love wool. My son wanted some wristbands in black. I didn't have black in wool or cotton so to get them done I did buy some really soft acrylic at Walmart. It is from recycled plastic bottles. I couldn't believe how soft it is. I also just finished fingerless gloves for my daughter. I've knitted longies and soakers when my children were in diapers. My lo in 4 now. So now it is vests and skirts, toys and dolls. I am always bookmarking knitting projects. If only there were more hours in the day!

Where do you all get your patterns? Free and paid for? I love Raverly and Knitty.

Cindy

Thumbs up

I knit. It is my favorite thing to do so far. I have not learned how to do the four needle thing and I do not have a circular needle thingie and wouldn't know what to do with one. And what are the little round plastic rings for? Wow I sound silly. I bought a "I taught myself to knit" kit at wal-mart for my birthday in October and have only been making scarves. I am working on an afghan but that is as far as I have gotten in my learning. I picked up cross stitch along the way and am setting up a work corner and my grandmother is giving me a sewing machine to make a quilt, because I am horrible at hand stitching. Wow I run on when I talk. Anyway, I just wanted to say that, yes, I knit also!

I mainly crochet, but am learning to knit. (Gotta love youtube!) I just finished off legwarmers for my LO, had to make some adjustments b/c they kept sliding down. I don't know if it's b/c they are crocheted instead of knitted or what. I started a pair in crochet for my other LO, but I don't like the way they fit either. So I think I'm gonna find a knit pattern and try and knit up a pair. I just love the ones I saw on here with the cables on the sides.... The other thing I want to try is a cocoon. My 4 MO loves to sleep in them b/c they keep her roasty warm!

Once I get the sewing machine up and running, I hope to try some more legwarmers with socks.

I love knitting! I just finished a scarf as a belated Christmas gift and am about to start something simpler as a break. I did so much knitting for Christmas!

I don't know how to do much. I want to try socks next. Eek!

I knit!!!! I like to knit my silhouette potholders since they are small I can can usually finish one in few hours to a day. So, I don't get board with the project taking too long. ;-) I also like them as I have so many pattern designs and I can design most anything! So it keeps it interesting!
I also like to do other small knitting projects. I did a one piece infant sweater, that buttoned up, for a while. I even modified the pattern so it could be a pull over the head type.

I knit ! I started in July and am pretty fast. My first project was a pair of shorties for DS. Since then I've made a a few soakers, a couple pairs of longies, 3 sweaters for DS (he's 21 months BTW), a bunch of baby wash cloths, a couple of scarves (I'm currently working on one for myself), and a couple of afghans. I've also sold a couple pairs of longies-http://www.flickr.com/photos/4565179...7622890394403/ (the blue and brown ones are sibling longies I made). I also sew. Here's some of the other things I've done (including some baby washcloths): http://www.flickr.com/photos/45651797@N03/

I need to take pictures of the sweaters I made-I think those and the afghan I made for DS are my favs

ETA: I've made a bunch of hats for DS too-they're fun. I'd LOVE to make an earflap hat for him though.

I'm knitting myself a vest in brown alpaca and it is going to be lovely. I'm also working on a lightweight hat for my bald dh for days when it isn't quite cold enough for his toasty warm wool hats.
