I just bought a kit to learn to knit. After I make my beginner project, I hope to be able to knit ds some longies and soakers. We're just starting to cloth diaper, so it's a learning as we go thing for all of us. I would love to have some longies, but can't bring myself to pay $50-60/pp for them.

I have only been crocheting for five years, but I'm an even newer knitter - I just started learning in November. I put it aside over the holidays to get some other projects done, so I hope to get back into it soon. At this point I have only made one "dishcloth". Stitches weren't completely even (stockinette), but I managed to make it with a nice garter stitch border.
