Default Need Ideas

I have projects to work on...just nothing I want to/can do right now. I am working on a scarf for my husband, atm. I get bored with it pretty easily. I have the patterns and supplies for Sheepy Pants, but the instructions are intimidating and I don't feel comfortable working on it yet. I want something that will help me learn new skills w/o a lot of difficulty. I can cast on, knit and purl. Very simple. Any ideas? I want something fun.

I've had two people tell me this today. I think I will be going there tomorrow.

I've recently finished up a herringbone neckwarmer that was neat. I learned a new stitch and once I figured it out it was super easy. This stitch looks great with variegated yarns as well as solids.

Here's the pattern (it's a free rav download for a scarf and I adapted it a little to have button holes and only be the length of a neckwarmer): http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/libr...ringbone-scarf#
