Default Really strong wool?

My husband's feet must be made out of razorblades or something, because he destroys socks. I'd love to knit him a pair, but I don't want them to have holes ripped through them in less time it took me to make them! What are the strongest wool or wool blend yarns you've ever used/heard of?

I can't give you a brand but I can tell you that wool/nylon would be best and it should have a very neat tight ply to it. If you have the ability to blend and spin some yarn for yourself then mix about 15% mohair into that baby and that will help alot says one blog of which I don't remember the name of. I hope that helps a little.

I agree! Nylon or maybe even some tencil blended in will help. I would say if you could find a BFL/nylon or BFL/Tencil blend it might work best for you... and possibly a sport weight?
