Default Unwanted yarn recycled here!

I knit and crochet for a charity organization that provides for babies, children and adults in need. I just completed 100 hats to send out next week. Now working on lapghans, afghans and baby blankets. I was hopeing that I might be able to contact some people who have yarn they no longer want or need. Weight, color and amount not important since I can use anything! Being on a fixed income, the cost of yarn and postage can get a little high. If you have anything you no longer need, please contact me. I would LOVE to take your scraps and help you make more space for your own crafts! Thank you so much for your time. Have a great day!

Have you tried your local thrift stores? Or a local church? Sometimes they receive a "stash" from a family member who's grandma or aunt has passed. I've gotten unfinished projects, yarn, and even knitting and crocheting supplies that way.

Yes, I check our thrift stores constantly. One will take a partial skein of yarn and put a price on it that is only 50 cents lower then the actual store price. Not really worth buying. I am the VP of a charity organization that has 900 members. We donate to hospitals, crisis centers, children's centers and homeless shelters. Many of them are retired or disabled and are very low income. I try to find donated yarn to help them out. But thank you for your suggestions. Just thought putting a post here might bring in something.
