Default What to do with this yarn?

So I bought some yarn that was spun and dyed at a local yarn shop. I saw it and had to have it but have no clue what to do with it now that it is home. It's lightweight or sock yarn. I have 400yds.

I wish it were the right weight to knit longies! See, I bought it after I had been running on low sleep and no coffee. I saw it and thought 'I have to have those for longies!'. I got home, stared at it and face palmed. I *love* it. Just don't know what to do with it. It is super soft!

Me thinks a shawl might be in order then.

Zetor scarf (it's really a shawl) http://jattasoheltaa.blogspot.com/20...f-pattern.html

Leaf Peeper Bandit (I think this one might look really neat with the yarn you have): http://www.rosiesyarncellar.com/libr...erbandit.shtml

eta: this one might look really neat too: Cherry Surprise (free rav download): http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cherry-surprise

I still haven't done anything with it. It is a sock yarn. Think I could double it when I knit and make a Hudson hat?
