Default What yarn do you mostly knit with?

I love natural fibers. I knit mostly with wool Peacefleece, and Purewool being my favorites. I have knitted with a nice wool from AC Moore. I haven't had it for awhile so I would have to check the store for the name. I bought a skein of Bamboo for a flea market. It is so silky and soft. It is really hard to imagine what it first started out as. It is green and shiny. There isn't much so I have to decide what to do with it. I like cotton too. Years ago I bought cotton that was hard and rough. Nowadays you can get really soft cotton. I made a multi color blanket for my little one from cotton right before she was born. Almost 5 years later it is still soft and beautiful.

So, what do you knit with?

Thanks!
Cindy

mainly 100% wool. I'm branching out a bit and knitting with blends (wool/silk, wool/bamboo etc) and superwash, but if I can, I prefer wool. I'm not really a fan of cotton because I don't like the way it feels as it's passing through my hands. It's like the moisture is being sucked out of my fingers... strange feeling... I get the same feeling when I touch hotel towels

Most of the time I'm knitting wool diaper covers/longies so I usually use Patons. I have made DS 3 sweaters with sock yarn but all of them have wool too . I like using acrylic though-my fav is Hobby Lobby's brand-it's SO soft!

It's the Knit Baby Pleasure Pullover. It knitted up REALLY fast. You can see some picts on my ravelry (monkeybunns). I need to take pictures of the green one. The one bad thing about the pattern is the sweater isn't long enough-I had to add 2-3 inches to both the sleeves and the body for my 21 month old (using the bigger size)

[Patons...yes that is what I got at AC Moore. I felt it was a really nice wool. Where do you get your sock yarn. I wouldn't have thought to use it for anything but socks, silly me. Knitting socks is my next big project. Yeah, my next!! LOL! I will add that to "my next" list.

Peace,
Cindy
