Ok, ok... I'm sorry, The Rattletrap consumed my free time and chewed up a lot of (much needed) brain cells...
So... here we go. Grab your fire extinguishers and HAZMAT suits and join me in room 101
For the simplest way to extract oils from pretty much any DRIED flower petals or fragrant herb DRIED leaves, just grab an instant coffee jar with the waxed cardboard inside the lid. Then go to Meijers or your local pharmacy and get a bottle of 99% rubbing alcohol for injections. 91% is ok, but 99% is best. Avoid 70%.
powder the leaves/petals and put in jar. Add just enough alcohol to cover them.
Shake and let set for a while. Warmer alcohol will strip the oils faster.
pour the liquid through a coffee filter in a colander wire basket into a round steel mixing bowl. If it's a nice, sunny day, simply set it outside until the alcohol evaporates, and >PRESTO< instant fragrant plant oils! There are other methods as well. Some use sunlight and olive oil, etc. Some you need a still. I will describe that way soon. (remember the coffee can and light bulb?) The only advantage to this is you get more oil from your flowers. If you want to evaporate the alcohol faster, float the mixing bowl in a crock pot full of hot water. Do this outside in your back yard or well ventilated area.
Alcohol is very flammable, so please be careful. To use the oils as a perfume, just add a little "carrier" oil, such as sassafras oil or olive oil.
More to come.

They are cute and fun! And even though I make them, I read it as an insult at first too Then it all clicked!
