Unhappy Are you Kidding?

Guess I'm out I don't have one or two positive feedback places.

As a member of the original swap I am offended by this request.

1 - I think my work in the last swap was reference enough.

2 - Not all of us are selling our works -
we just craft for the enjoyment of it.

3 - The census arrived today and it asked less questions.

This was supposed to be a fun, relaxed thing or it was when I joined last month. I found a new sense of creativity and have worked on crafts since then I have not thought of in years.

Maybe other people are also taken aback by this format. But are afraid to speak up.

Default I think there was a misunderstanding

I think there was a misunderstanding.

You don't have to answer all or any of the questions... it's just so your partner can get a better idea of what you're interested in/looking for.

Also, we had a problem in the first swap that I felt would be better remedied with feedback references. I'm not looking for seller or product feedback, just previous swap or for sale or trade feedback. I'm not asking for feedback to screen your items, the feedback request was to keep a person from jumping into the swap and scamming the group. It has happened before and it really stinks.

My other thought is to have a minimum of 50 or 100 posts requirement for those who don't have feedback on other forums. It sucks that dishonest people hamper the honest ones but I'm not quite sure what else to do to keep this a fun swap without people taking their items and disappearing without holding up their end of the bargan.

There was a problem with the first swap? That totally sucks!

I personally think that if dkortea (or any one else) was in the first swap successfully then she should automatically be allowed to enter all future swaps. She is obviously a good member even if she doesn't have the feedback or post requirements. At least that is my opinion.
dkortea, whoever you swapped with in the first one would count for feedback, I am sure!
But if I didn't talk so much (and therefore meet the post minimum) I'd be upset at the exclusion.

I wish I could think of a different way to keep people honest.....

Just for the record, nobody got scammed during the first swap. Everybody received their items, somebody just received their package late.

I'm glad that in the end everything went well!

I'm still considering it. My concern is both postal costs and what to make! If I can keep it small and light, I believe I can send something to the States for around $5. I need to sit down with a ruler and a scale though because everything is in millimetres and grams! If I can think of something suitable (postage wise) to make that somebody else might actually want before the sign up deadline then I will be in.
(before you all go thinking that I am super cheap, I am a stay at home mom and I feel guilty costing my husband money. But if I can do this inexpensively, I will totally be in. I even have a little bit of birthday money left so if I do feel guilty, I'll just pay it myself! I still need to come up with something though.....)

the other thing is, I'm not the end all and be all of swaps. These are just my rules for this swap. Whomever runs the next one can make up any rules or non rules they want. I can totally accept "feedback" from the last swap, it didn't even dawn on me because there's no place here to submit "feedback" but it totally works
