Elizabeth, I was going to give it until the 11th to allow more people to sign up before pairing people together...but I'm thinking if we don't get any more additional sign-ups within the next few days then we'll just go ahead and move forward with it. I'm getting antsy too! I just wanted to give people a fair amount of time to see the post and join in if they're interested.

I think it sounds like a fun idea!! I'm giving myself a couple of days to think it over, and decide if I have the time to commit to it right now.

I can't this round due to having to much medical stuff going on. Hopefully I will be up to doing the next one. I do a lot of swaps with my mosaic group. There we do a pass it on box and you never know what you will find when it reaches you. For each item you keep from the box you put in something to replace it then the box goes on to the next person.

I think the spreadsheet should be modified to add what type of crafts each person does, and what type of crafted item they would like to receive. IE: I crochet, do plastic canvas, some sewing, and some general crafts. I might say I would like something in mosaic or wood. I think also we should also write what we absolutely would NOT like to receive. What do you think about these ideas? Or you could just do a theme and we could craft something with that theme.

I agree with this. I was surprised to see that you dident ask what we do or what we would like to receive on the spreadsheet.

if we didn't want to do the reverse swap like that we could have a survey that we filled out acording to general tastes and preferences and then our partner would get our survey (or the surveys could be posted and our partner can stalk us to find out) and make something accordingly.

I hope everything is resolved soon and you're feeling better!

I like the idea of adding what types of crafts you do, good idea! I can add preferences on there if that's what everybody else wants, but I think that defeats the purpose of this swap in a way (at least my idea of what I want it to be). I guess those who want to be surprised can just leave it blank

And I was thinking that we could do themes eventually and that we could take turns hosting the swap, but this time I'd like to just do it "freestyle" and let everybody make all of the decisions in deciding what to make their partner.

Updated Spreadsheet with two additional questions.

Also - there are only 2 days left to sign up, so if you'd like to participate and have not signed up yet, please do so!
