Default Anyone ever try this

I was thinking (don't laugh) about taking a pair of my old shorts and making a jumper for my 22 month old grandaughter. I was thinking the pockets could be the arm holes and you could pull the drawstring to the shoulders and doubleknot it and make 2 straps for the shoulders to hold it up. does that sound silly??? be honest. I think in a pinch it's amazingly creative but I don't think I'd put my child in it... very creative though

well i would only put her in it to do gardening or playing outside in MY yard. I live by the beach and the sand gets into everything and i think it would just fall through..i wouldn't take her OUT in them silly.

Anytime you repurpose clothes, I think is a good thing! If it looks THAT horrid, you can always use it for dust rags!!!

I love to find the refashioning stuff on the net. However, most of it I can't do, or wouldn't! LOL I love the many ways to repurpose/refashion T shirts. One thing I 'did' do, was make a Tee a bit bigger. By cutting up the sides and adding a piece of pretty material...came out really cute!

I can't picture what you are describing. But I can say this. You will never know until you try. What have you got to lose?
I request that you post pictures, even if you don't like the final product.

Sorry I'm in the same place as Angela I can't picture what it is. I am not a very creative person myself. I love doing things that I can see the projected outcome. Otherwise I get bored and don't finish.

Hmmmm . . . I'm not quite picturing this either, but hey, it's worth a shot! You could maybe doll it up with lace or ruffles or something . . .or maybe a little belt to tie around the middle? Of course, the picture in my head is probably totally different from that in yours

you should defintely post pics when you are done!
