baby gift ideas please!
I need to come up with a baby gift idea for a friend who is expecting her third. This is why it's difficult....she has everything! She has 2 girls already and this one is a surprise. She doesn't CD, otherwise I'd go that route....I like to sew, I just don't know what to make now....any ideas?

A baby blanket? Each new baby should have their "OWN" special blanket that was not a hand me down.

I agree a baby blanket, burpee pad, bibs, and bath sets are great even for the later child. I had 4 and I know you tend to need some things new again.
Good luck.

Special blankets are great... or what about a lovey blanket or soft friend of some kind? Neutral leg warmers? New bibs would be great- by the time my 3rd came along my bibs were horrid! My sister made my kids wall organizers out of the pockets of blue jeans- she quilted them together, and I used them first over the changing table to hold all the little things you need (rash cream, q-tips, lotion, etc), now the older 2 keep their treasures in them.

great ideas ladies, thanks. My mom made me large receiving blankets and I loved them. They were made of a full meter of fabric, some were 2 meters doubled. I loved them for swaddling, maybe I'll do some of those.

Or you could do some ribbon tag blankets with little loops of ribbon around the edges. Babies love those tags! If you do, just be sure to triple-stitch the ribbons in place.

All those ideas are wonderful, and what I was going to suggest, lol. Blankets, burp cloths, bibs, taggie blanket/lovey, changing pad/cover, a diaper clutch (holder to go in the diaper bag that will hold dipes and wipes; google "diaper clutch tutorial" and you'll find several different styles!!). An embellished onesie or shirt...
