Default Barbie Clothes

Just like I need something else on my mind to work on. And thinking "tiny" too! Have any of you made Barbie Clothes? I went online the other night looking and ended up reading about all the top 20 stars in movies! CRAzY.

Anyone have any places to look for patterns that are near the Civil War Era? Dressy and casual.

My Mama is a doll doctor, and she has made some wonderful Barbie wardrobes. She's done wedding dresses, period clothing, fur coats, and everyday wear for winter and summer.

Myself, I can't sew a lick.

well, I don't know about places to find "barbie doll" cloths patterns, but my mother did make me and my barbie matching dresses when I was younger and she told me that all she did was take the human dress design and make it smaller... of course Just a Little thinner too, so as to accommodate the barbies rather unnatural curves... plus a little longer for the sake of actually falling the proper length (barbies and their overly long legs you know)

I find that in order to find the best patterns one should just make them as though they would full size cloths, only tiny... so if you can find the pattern you want take it and start scaling it down until it fits.

Well, guess what I found ya'll???!!! Yeah, I was digging looking for my cloth thimble.....(for doing that itty bitty bear)...when I came across a Simplicity Pattern. I had already cut the pattern for the dress out and everything........except sewing it!

It was the Simplicity Pattern(doll collection), but it wasn't the poodle skirt....although that is cute! It was more victorian like the McCalls.....looks like Crafts though, not McCalls.

Isn't that crazy???? I'm in the wrong business (course education is not high paying)! FEM, me and you need to design Barbie clothes and make patterns for them! That's wild. 'Course we need to make them now, so in 15 yrs I can retire off the money they will make by then.
