Default An easy overalls pattern?

I've been spoiling my girl lately with several new sewn items. Its so easy to sew for her. I love sewing knit fabric but there's not as much variety. So with wovens, I can make her dresses or peasant tops. For my little man? Its knit pants or knit tops. And its hard to find boyish knit fabric I like. (Oh, we don't do woven pants around here. the baby is cloth diapered and chubby and they just don't work. The 3yo is a former chubby cloth diapered baby that was so spoiled by stretchy cozy knits, she refuses to wear jeans/woven pants!) So anyway, I was thinking it'd be super fun to make some simple overalls for my lil man! Shorts, ideally. And nice and loose with lots of room in the bum. Any *easy* patterns for this? Tutorials? Printable for the instant gratification?

Looking around I found one that looked nice, by Jackie Clark. I froogled for the cheapest place to buy it and found it for $4.25. Added it to my cart and shipping was $4.90!!! wtf? You'd think 2 first class stamps would be sufficient, patterns are light! I emailed them to ask if they were reeeeally going to stick to that shipping cost.

Funny, I'm in the same boat, right now. Sewing is so easy for my girl and a bit more of a stretch for my boy. And I have some of Daddy's old pants I'd like to refashion into overalls for my little boy. I'm actually thinking about getting the Jalie overall pattern (972) and there is a Jalie coop going on right now on naturesfabrics. I haven't used the pattern so I don't know how it will sew up but the ladies in the group seem to like Jalie patterns. There is also a list of tutorials for boys clothes on Everything Your Mama Made and that includes a link to a free overall tutorial. I hope that helps.
