Default Help sewing on ribbon :)

I have been thinking about getting some ribbon trim like these:
http://buntefabrics.com/catalog.php?category=20

and am wondering how the best way to sew them on would be? do you sew on the top and bottom edges? Or use double sided fusable adhesive (would this hold?)

Tried to search for directions, but couldn't seem to find much.

I would sew it on top and bottom. I do not have luck with fusibles staying adhered after washing. There must be a trick to it.......

The fusible stuff never lasts more then the first wash! Though it is good if you use the sew-able kind to place stuff that way it doesn't move when sewing!

I have lots of friends on the large sewing forum I belong to that use those ribbons & they top stitch really close to both edges.
