Yay! Fun! I just made my first diaper cover! I use cloth prefolds tucked into a Bummis or gDiaper cover. I decided to try making my own covers - and they'd be fun to give as gifts to all the folks I know who are also having babies in May (a couple of them are planning on the local diaper service but they still need covers). I ordered fabric (printed PUL) from kidsinthegarden.com (lovely site and excellent CS by owner Melissa!) and really good prices - even with shipping to Canada. And I'm using my own modified version of the Chloe Toes diaper pattern - which is for AIOs, pockets, fitteds, swim diapers - but easy to turn into just a cover with a flap to tuck in the prefold.
Mine's the blue mermaid fabric - the flowers is a Bummis:
And here's my model - since DD was at her grandma's this afternoon
