Default Looking for a good fabric glue...

I am making a pin the tail on the donkey type game for my daughter's birthday party coming up. I want to do it with felt and velcro so that it's reusable and offers less risk to the kids than pins would.

I was just planning on using the adhesive backed felt, but it has almost no nap to it, so nothing for the velcro to stick to. Now I'm looking for a decent fabric glue to layer regular felt together for the game surface. What do you think? Is there a glue fit for this job?

I don't know what would be good, but I can tell you that normal white glue will make it hard as a rock. My daughter made ornaments one year that involved gluing two pieces of felt together and they are hard. It is actually a very good thing for the type of project we did, but I don't think it would be for yours! Plus I remember it took a super long time to dry.

Dang, dang. I had that thought too, about the glue making it hard and preventing the velcro from sticking. Hopefully someone comes through with an idea so I don't have to use Plan B...

Putting a couple hours worth of work into it and then using the adhesive felt to stick the tails to the animal, and tossing the whole thing when the party is over.

Here is my take... I do alot of leather/fabric repairs on old vintage stuff. I have found this glue to be excellent. It stays pliable and WILL not adhere to any hard surface, you can pour it in a bowl and when it dries just pull it out.
I recently glued some vintage knitted bias on a fragile 1800's leather bear coat, worked perfect.
I have only ever bought it in a local hardware store, sort of pricey $8 a bottle. It's called Bish's TEAR MENDER instant fabric & leather adhesive. It is non-toxic and I will tell you it stinks.......but it has always worked for me.
