Question The search for the perfect press...

<---- So that is what I feel like right now... I need a press that will fit dies for:
Kam snaps
Metal snaps
Rivets
Grommets
Eyelets
And whatever other hardware items that can be added on with a press...

Do Kam dies with other presses?
Do other dies fit the Kam Presses?
What is the best price for one of these?
Is it possible to find one that has a long arm that is also universally compatible?

Please help in any way you can!

Unhappy

I read on another forum that some people have used the Kam dies on the OSDS press. They also say that the Kam snaps fit in the OSDS standard die but not the industrial... Is this the same for the heart and star caps? I used to use the Craftool press that Tandy Leather sells when I worked in a leather store but I don't have any idea if other dies would fit in that one. The long armed ones seem that they have screw in dies but there is a more variety in the smooth dies... I am so torn on what to do...

You are speaking of a process/tool that I don't know anything about.... Hopefully someone else here knows about these things and can help you! Sorry I can't.

I use metal snaps, rivets and grommets in some of my projects, but I use hand setters or in the case of the rivets, a ball peen hammer. I don't use tap and die sets, so I also cannot help.
