Default Sewing Tutorial - Triangle Fold Coaster

Hi, I have posted up my latest sewing tutorial on how to make triangle fold coaster.... You can turn it to some christmas tree ornaments, or some table decoration for this holy festive season. Some said that she wants to make it as christmas gifts too.... The possibility is endless!
Beside this coaster, I have turned it to something cute - "spiky" hedgehog purse....

Craft Passion, that's a great video. It explains the steps very well.

My sister can sew anything and make it look professional. I don't have the 'sewing gene', so I stay as far away from a needle & thread and sewing machines as I can.

But, I love to scrapbook and I'm thinking that the triangle fold would look great on a scrapbook page or card.

The 'spiky hedgehog purses' are adorable!

Hi Craft Passion. I have a question. How did you measure the bottom layer so the distance between each triangle is exactly the same?

I folded all the triangles. Whew!! It's more work than it appears to be. I'm making mine with paper. Fabric seems like it would be much more difficult.

Part of what took me so long is with one of the pattern papers I used. Once I got a few of them folded, I realized the reindeer were upside down. So I started over and had to use a different folding technique for just the patterned paper. With the solid-colored paper, I used the technique you show in your tutorial.

I overlapped each triangles at the vertical center line at the place where I am going to sew. Which means the right edge of the left triangle meet the left edge of the right triangle at the intersection point of the center line of the center triangle of my sewing line. Hope this help.
Cant wait to see you paper version
